Blake joins Ben Affleck’s film - 2009-09-11
Blake Lively has signed up to star in Ben Affleck’s thriller “The Town." The Gossip Girl will play the ex-girlfriend of bank robber Affleck read the Hollywood Reporter. The Town is an adaption from Chuck Hogan's 2007 book "Prince of Thieves” and tells the story of a criminal Doug MacRay (Affleck), who falls for robbery victim Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). Filming started in September in Boston.

The Gossip Girl star donned a red dress with the Star - Spangled Banner in one hand, talks about her role in indie movie Elvis and Annabelle. Blake lost several pounds for the movie in which she co-stars with Mary Steenburgen and Joe Mantegna. She tells the mag, “I play a beauty queen who died of bulimia. But beauty queens are still very toned. So I lost weight, but I got toned. It was the healthiest I’ve ever been!” I just made chicken breasts from Whole Foods on a George Foreman Grill, with asparagus and broccoli,” the 21-year-old explained.

Blake Lively is reportedly being sued by a Brooklyn tailor who claims the actress never paid for a requested work. New York-based dressmaker Angela Bilotti says the Gossip Girl star owed her $500 for a work done in a dress she wore at this year’s Teen Choice Awards. The star offered to walk to an ATM cash machine to withdraw payment, but was told "not to worry" by Bilotti, reports TMZ. Blake’s rep says the star was dissatisfied with the final product, so she only paid half the original fee.
Blake’s father recovering after car crash - 2008-10-20
Blake Lively went through a tough moment after learning her father had a car accident – but now he’s ok. The 21-year-old star’s father, Ernie, was taken to the hospital to treat his back, arm and lung injuries. "Ernie suffered back injuries, and also his lungs. But it is far less serious than we thought. Blake is here, the whole family is here, and at first it didn't look good. But thankfully, now we have been told he is going to make a full recovery. It's all been taken care of," said Blake’s mother. She concluded, "We do not know when he will be out of hospital. We are just happy he is going to be OK." The Gossip Girl actress flew to Los Angeles from New York as soon as she knew of the crash. She started alongside her father in 2005’s 'The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants' and the 2008 sequel 'The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2'.

And according to an onlooker the blonde babe did the good action of day, helping a passerby. “Blake turned good Samaritan along the way, helping open a door when a lady came in her apartment building pushing a baby on a stroller. After that, she and Penn hid behind their two bodyguards,” told a source.
